How Does SMP Work?

SMP is usually carried out over 3 to 4 sessions depending on the skin type. Unlike a traditional tattoo, only the superficial layers of skin on the scalp are penetrated with thousands of realistic replicated hair follicles using the finest quality specialist pigment and needles. At each session, we assess how your treatment has healed and may make adjustments to the ink shade and needle size. The density is built up gradually in layers & we ‘tweak’ and ‘perfect’ until the treatment is complete and blends seamlessly with your remaining hair. You’re then good to go! No downtime, just follow our easy aftercare advice to ensure your completed treatment heals well.
